Spanni ng a multitude of highly technical trades relating to maintenance, they currently service from over 20 locations nationally. This company is going through a stage of rapid expansion and require a dynamic Business Development / Commercial Manager.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be a key influence in the future path and direction of the company. This role will see you targeting tier 1 mining houses and OEM Machinery manufacturers to expose their already established fleet. Your responsibilities will include:
- Negotiate and manage contracts and tenders relating to the sale of group services
- Carry a high cultural ethic and a focus on indigenous, local and multicultural values
- Deliver a high level of self motivation and autonomy as you will conduct multisite visits and liaise with all levels of staff and management.
- Monthly interstate travel required (1-2 weeks per month).
- Develop and maintain customer relationship and foster relationships with business influence such as partners, associates, industry organisations and attending appropriate networking functions.
About You
A extensive understanding of the mining industry and key contacts to enable you to develop a long term detailed action plan with direct goals
- Well versed in implementation of business development plans, technical sales strategies and securing return business.
- Demonstrated ability to interface with top level management
- Self-starter, who is self-motivated, and self-managed
- Experience and knowledge of Sales Principles, techniques, key account management, technical sales strategies and securing return business
- Ability to target new business projects approaching them with high level communication, skills and efficiency
- 6 - 10 Years success in a commercial position with proven leadership, contract negotiation and an understanding of legal and commercial risk
- A technical mindset and the desire to take on the company as your own
